Coast Capital Savings Depression Research Fund Competition 2011
To fund research into the causes and treatment of depression in British Columbia.
The Depression Research Fund is funded by Coast Capital Savings Credit Union annual golf tournament. Coast Capital Savings Credit Union has raised funds through its annual golf tournament for the benefit of depression research. We particularly welcome applications focused on helping children and young people.
In association with the UBC Institute of Mental Health (UBC IMH) and VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, Coast Capital Savings Credit Union wishes to support new research ideas identified by investigators in British Columbia. The intent of this competition is to fund new areas of research (e.g. new hypotheses, new techniques, new ideas) that are in a pilot/feasibility state. We anticipate that successful projects will lead to significant external funding to support the next step in an exciting new research direction.
Two levels of funding will be available through the Coast Capital Saving Credit Union Fund:
1. Coast Capital Young Investigator Grants; and
2. Coast Capital Independent Investigator Grants.
DEADLINES
Registration is required for this competition. Complete the one-page Registration Form (found under Guidelines and Forms below) and submit it as an email attachment to Corinne Carpenter, UBC Institute of Mental Health (corinne.carpenter@ubc.ca ).
The deadline for registration is 4:30p.m., on Thursday March 17th, 2011. Registrations may be submitted at any time up to that deadline.
The deadline for applications is 4:30p.m., on Thursday March 31, 2011.
