Mission

        
    Our institute will be a home for a community of clinicians and scientists who are fully committed to a re-examination of the field of mental health and mental illness and to seeking new insights into the diagnosis and treatment of some of the most challenging issues in modern medicine.

    This mission will be achieved by (a) building on recent advances in the fields of neuroscience, brain imaging, molecular genetics and psychotherapy, (b) translating these advances into clinically effective preventive and treatment strategies and (c) ensuring through training and education their application in everyday clinical practice throughout the Province of British Columbia
