3. Research:

Clinical interests: long term contemporary psychodynamic psychotherapy; interpersonal and relational approaches to psychotherapy; integrative psychotherapy with CBT and DBT; issues of culture, identity and bilingualism in psychotherapy; wide diagnostic spectrum.

My research focuses on the social and cultural dimensions of human development and on the situated nature psychological experience. I am concerned with elaborating conceptions of the person, agency and identity, as related to cultural and therapeutic contexts, with particular interest in bicultural experience and the process of acculturation.

My research in psychological development and change is informed by my dual training in clinical psychology and philosophy and includes considerations from phenomenology, hermeneutics, postmodernism, and contemporary psychoanalysis.
